At ReMane, we believe healing starts with self-image. We specialize in the design, customization, and compassionate delivery of medical-grade wigs, known as cranial prostheses, for women and children experiencing hair loss due to cancer, alopecia, and other medical conditions.

What is a Cranial Prosthesis?

A cranial prosthesis is a custom medical wig created for individuals with medical hair loss. Unlike fashion wigs, cranial prostheses are eligible for insurance reimbursement with proper medical documentation. They are made from high-quality materials, carefully fitted, and tailored to match your unique needs and lifestyle.

Insurance Reimbursement Options

ReMane is currently undergoing accreditation to become an approved Durable Medical Equipment (DME) provider, including:
- CMS-approved DMEPOS accreditation
- Georgia State DME Supplier License
- National Provider Identifier (NPI) registration
These accreditations will enable us to provide clients with comprehensive documentation to assist in filing reimbursement claims.

You may be eligible for reimbursement for your cranial prosthesis if your hair loss is related to:
- Chemotherapy
- Alopecia Areata, Totalis, or Universalis
- Trichotillomania
- Lupus
- Severe burns or scalp trauma

What You’ll Need for Reimbursement

To submit an insurance claim for your medical wig, you will typically need:
- A prescription written for a 'cranial prosthesis'
- ICD-10 diagnosis code from your physician
- An itemized invoice from ReMane
- Insurance-specific claim form
- Our NPI and provider credentials (when available)

HIPAA Compliance & Privacy

We understand the deeply personal nature of medical hair loss. That’s why ReMane strictly adheres to HIPAA guidelines. All patient data, prescriptions, consultations, and communications are handled with the highest level of confidentiality, using secure systems and trained staff.

Virtual & In-Person Consultations

All clients must complete a consultation prior to purchasing a wig—regardless of wig type. Consultations are offered in-person or virtually to accommodate your schedule and privacy needs.
Consultation Fee: $150 (non-refundable)
This fee includes:
- One-on-one education session about hair loss and wig options
- Custom color match
- Head measurements for cap sizing
- Insurance reimbursement overview and documentation assistance (contingent on your policy coverage)
Should you choose to move forward with ReMane, the $150 will be credited toward the purchase of your medical wig.
